Job Responsibilities:
Position Overview
The Quality and Manufacturing Intern will focus on specific process improvement projects that directly support the 2025 Magna Strategy and Goals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- IPCP audits and updates
- Create standard operating procedure documents
- Torque studies
- Process Trial run assistance
- Assist with daily root cause investigation and analysis
- Update build information on assembly line reference forms
- Follow Mafact improvement ideas and projects.
- Time studies
- MSA studies
- PFMEA, control plan, in process paperwork updates
- Sort coordination
- Rework
- Root cause analysis
Qualifications:
- Some related experience preferred
Education / Experience
- General computer skills
- Lean Manufacturing knowledge
- Problem solving methods
General knowledge of assembly Special Knowledge / Skills:
- The ideal candidate is pursuing a degree in Manufacturing Engineering / Industrial Engineering
- Candidates should be entering their junior or senior year or enrolled in a graduate program.
- Limited travel may be required
Physical Demands / Work Environment:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proven organizational skills capable of managing multiple tasks and projects.
- Marketing skills that can translate to multiple demographics
- Creative solutions and critical thinking ability to adapt to multiple challenges
- Positive interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain professionalism at all times
