Position Overview:
GPS is seeking a passionate and dedicated 2nd Grade Spanish Dual Immersion Teacher to fill in for a teacher on maternity leave. This position is ideal for an educator who is enthusiastic about language instruction, culturally responsive teaching, and helping students become confident multilingual communicators.
Key Responsibilities:
· Plan, prepare, and deliver lesson plans and instructional materials.
· Assess students' progress and provide regular feedback to students and parents.
· Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to create a cohesive learning experience.
· Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports the diverse needs of students.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in education, Spanish, or a related field.
· Valid teaching credential or license for the appropriate grade level and subject.
· Proficiency in both Spanish and English required.
· Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive learning environment.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Commitment to fostering a love of learning and promoting cultural diversity.
