Recreation Intern

The Recreation Intern will work closely with the Recreation Programs Manager and Recreation Supervisor in planning, implementing and executing a variety of youth programs and special events.  Seeking an organized, reliable, flexible and team orientated person who enjoys working with youth.  This position will be suited to meet the specific internship requirements and needs of the applicant. 

Responsibilities

• Plans, prepares and participates in recreation programs and special events.
• Assists with the planning, set-up, execution and tear down of special events.
• Responsible for the well-being, safety and care of children and youth attending Recreation and Culture Department programs.
• Responsible for creating a fun and energetic environment for the campers on a daily basis.
• Work in a team-based environment supporting the Recreation and Culture Department, the Town of Frisco, the initiatives of the Director and Manager, and other counselors. 
• Interact with guests, parents, and participants in a positive and professional manner, utilizing excellent guest service standards. 
• Maintain professional attitudes and relationships with parents, participants, and co-workers.
• Adhere to Town of Frisco and camp rules and regulations including proper attire, safety procedures, and overall professionalism.
• Participate in safety training and respond to emergencies in an appropriate manner.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
