Hardware Development Co-op

Title: Hardware Development Co-op

Number of Position(s): 

Duration: 4 Months 

Date: May - August 2026 

Location: Westford, MA - Onsite

 

EDUCATIONAL RECOMMENDATIONS 

Currently a 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year candidate for a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering, or a related field at an accredited school in the US. 
 

Your responsibilities

As a co-op in the hardware group, you will work with a highly experienced hardware development team that designs, builds, and supports hardware solutions for Nokia's routing platforms. You will gain practical hands-on experience working in the lab on the latest prototype circuit boards alongside hardware developers.

 

As part of our team, you will:

  • Verify circuit designs using a variety of test gear: 20 GHz oscilloscopes, network analyzers, interface testers
  • Test and debug circuit boards under various thermal and environmental conditions
  • Complete the final assembly of new prototype units
  • Qualify new circuit components
     

Your skills and experience

  • Solid understanding of hardware electronics concepts
  • Familiarity with electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes and multimeters
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word\
  • Self-confidence, self-motivation, and a strong work ethic
  • Familiarity with scripting languages like Perl, Python, TCL, and VBS
  • Excellent communication skills, written and oral
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently
