Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated Junior C++ Developer to join our team in building and maintaining high-performance risk reporting platforms for Global Equity Derivatives. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career developer to gain deep exposure to Capital Markets, pricing infrastructure, and modern DevOps practices. You will work closely with senior developers to support pricing and risk management systems, automate workflows, and enhance production support tooling.

What Will You Do?

Development & Design: Assist in the design and development of tools and applications required to support our pricing infrastructure and related business units.

System Optimization: Help revamp existing technology to improve scalability and performance, including profiling and optimizing system bottlenecks.

Troubleshooting: Support, debug, and troubleshoot software deficiencies in the production environment.

Business Analysis: Review business requirements and contribute to technical documentation, including functional specifications and system impact assessments.

Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the CI/CD pipeline and help improve production support documentation and automated tooling.

User Support: Assist with user training, publish release notes, and help manage technology updates to improve the overall user experience.

Collaboration: Proactively provide status reports to local and global managers while coordinating with technical and business partners.

Must-Have Qualifications

Experience: 2+ years of professional software development experience, ideally within a financial services or Capital Markets environment.

Core Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in C++ (2+ years) and a solid understanding of multithreaded programming.

Database & Scripting: Practical experience with Oracle (SQL) and Python.

Data Formats: Familiarity with JSON and XML.

DevOps: Basic experience or exposure to CI/CD pipelines and version control systems.

Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills with a proactive approach to identifying and remediating system deficiencies.

Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a global team setting.

Nice-to-Have Skills

Exposure to Equity Derivative Products or Risk Reporting frameworks.

Familiarity with Sophis.

Experience with cloud technologies (AWS or Azure) and orchestration (Kubernetes).

Knowledge of Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) or Web Services development.
