Proximity's mission is to bring audiences closer together through stories involving often-overlooked subject matters, and we are proud to be an equal opportunity employer. We welcome and consider applicants for employment regardless of race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, citizenship, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, marital status, pregnancy status, military/veteran status, disability, or any other protected category.

However, please note that we only accept applicants who are undergraduate juniors, seniors, and graduate students. We are also extending the application to those who have graduated within the last six months. Applicants not fitting the aforementioned requirement will not be considered. Previous internship experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities will include video podcast production assistance, research, coverage, and some admin support. Interns have the opportunity to workshop an original podcast pitch to present to Proximity executives at the end of the semester. The internship also has an educational component including meeting with industry professionals and learning about the process of podcast development and production. Knowledge of youtube and video editing skills are a plus, but not required.

This is a paid, part-time, in-person internship in Burbank, CA. Interns will work up to 28 hours per week and must be in the office on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 9:00am - 6:00pm and Wednesdays for a half-day. If a holiday falls on a working day, interns may make up the hours on an alternate day. The program will tentatively begin on May, 25 2026 and end on August 14, 2026.

The deadline for the application is March 9 , 2026 at 7:00pm PST. No late applications will be considered. Due to the volume of submissions, only selected applicants will be contacted for next steps.
