Student Research Assistant

A student in life sciences (Biology, Health Sciences) with strong knowledge of basic biology and physiology, preferably with research lab experience, is being sought to assist in two research projects for grants and publications:

• One of the projects focuses on post-stroke recovery, is well-developed but requires new work to address reviewer comments.
• The second project focuses on new pharmacological targets and is in its early development.

Duties include:

• participate in production, purification and testing of recombinant enzymes
  for pharmacological studies;
• participate in vitro and in vivo studies focusing on stroke neuroprotection and functional recovery;
• presentation of research findings in the form of manuscripts, abstracts, and lab meeting talks for publications and grant applications.
