Box Office Intern 

Birch Creek Music Performance Center is a prestigious summer music academy in Door County, Wisconsin, welcoming students from grade seven through graduating grade 12 from across 15 states and international locations. Our faculty, consisting of professional musicians, provide top-tier music education and perform alongside students during our extensive concert series. The academy offers four, two-week music sessions, as well as adult music retreats and special fundraising concerts. Proceeds from these events support the operational fund and students through the Play It Forward initiative.

This is a temporary, full-time, on-site role located in Egg Harbor, WI for a Box Office Intern. The Box Office Intern will assist the Office Manager/Registrar with box office and academy needs, and will also assist other departments with a variety of tasks.

Responsibilities: Operate box office for all campus concerts, manage ticket sales, perform ticket/cash reconciliation and record-keeping, and assist with concert preparations. Oversee and train volunteers on box office procedures. Assist with student scholarship letters and other office tasks/errands as needed. 

Qualifications: Arts administration or performing arts student with business or public relations background. Excellent math, communication & people skills, highly organized, dependable, self-motivated. Able to work in a fast-paced work environment. Customer service, data management, and previous box office training a plus. Valid driver’s license required for two years. Access to personal vehicle is strongly recommended.

Compensation:

  • $400/week, plus room and board
  • Full-time position with nights and weekends required
