Scrum Master Intern - Remote
At Zoo Media, we design interactive learning experiences that help young people explore careers, practice real‑world skills, and build confidence through play. Our simulation‑based projects blend storytelling, teamwork, and hands‑on discovery—giving students a safe space to experiment, make decisions, and grow.
As a Scrum Master Intern, you’ll support the development of one of our most ambitious initiatives: an educational, career‑simulation game where players step into real professional roles, manage teams, solve challenges, and learn how the world of work truly operates. You’ll help guide cross‑functional teams, remove roadblocks, and ensure our agile workflow runs smoothly as we build meaningful, youth‑centered digital experiences.
What You’ll Do
Agile Facilitation & Team Support
- Lead daily stand‑ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and backlog refinement
- Support multiple development pods using Scrum methodology
- Keep teams aligned, organized, and focused on delivering high‑impact learning features
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with designers, developers, writers, and curriculum partners
- Communicate goals, milestones, and priorities clearly across creative and technical teams
- Ensure all departments stay connected and informed throughout the production cycle
Roadblock Removal & Process Improvement
- Identify obstacles that slow development and help teams resolve them quickly
- Support documentation, workflow organization, and continuous improvement
- Help refine requirements with product owners to ensure alignment with learning outcomes and project goals
Project Leadership & Communication
- Maintain clarity around sprint goals, timelines, and deliverables
- Facilitate communication between leadership, stakeholders, and development teams
- Promote a collaborative, supportive environment where young creators can thrive
Requirements
- Experience with or training in Agile methodologies, especially Scrum
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Ability to coordinate across creative and technical teams
- Background in Project Management, Computer Science, Game Development, or related fields (preferred)
- Familiarity with tools like Jira, Trello, or similar project management platforms
- Availability for virtual meetings:
- Mondays @ 9:00 AM MST
- Wednesdays @ 10:00 AM MST
- Fridays @ 8:00 AM MST
- (Thursdays @ 9:00 AM MST for SkillBridge participants)
