Our Financial Projections & Data Analysis Internship is designed for emerging analysts who want to apply their skills to real projects that support youth‑centered programs, creative media initiatives, and organizational development.

As a Financial Projections Intern, you’ll work closely with our finance and strategy teams to analyze data, build models, and support decision‑making across Zoo Media’s expanding ecosystem. This is a hands‑on opportunity to explore financial forecasting, budgeting, consumer finance education, and data‑driven storytelling — all while contributing to meaningful, community‑focused work.

What You’ll Do

Financial Analysis & Modeling

  • Collaborate with the finance team to collect, organize, and analyze financial data
  • Build financial models and projections using spreadsheets and analytical tools
  • Assist in preparing financial reports, dashboards, and presentations for leadership

Research & Strategic Insights

  • Conduct research on industry trends, economic indicators, and emerging opportunities
  • Analyze financial statements to identify patterns, risks, and areas for improvement
  • Support long‑term planning by helping develop budgets and forecasts

Cross‑Functional Collaboration

  • Work with creative, program, and operations teams to gather data for modeling
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for improving financial processes
  • Help translate financial insights into accessible, youth‑centered communication materials

Process Improvement & Documentation

  • Support documentation of financial workflows, templates, and forecasting tools
  • Assist in refining internal systems to improve accuracy, clarity, and efficiency

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Familiarity with financial modeling, spreadsheets, and data analysis tools
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Proactive, curious, and eager to learn in a mission‑driven environment
  • Availability for virtual meetings:
    • Mondays @ 9:00 AM MST
    • Wednesdays @ 10:00 AM MST
    • Fridays @ 8:00 AM MST
    • (Thursdays @ 9:00 AM MST for SkillBridge participants)
