NASA Pathways Internship Opportunities

About the Opportunity

NASA Glenn Research Center is seeking highly motivated students to join the NASA Pathways Internship Program in support of active Moon-to-Mars exploration missions and advanced aeronautics research.

This is a hands-on engineering internship embedded within NASA’s test facilities, propulsion laboratories, power systems programs, and flight systems development teams.

For this hiring cycle, we are seeking students majoring in:

  • Aerospace Engineering
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Electrical Engineering

 

What You’ll Work On

Depending on your discipline and placement, you may:

  • Support propulsion system development and testing, including electric propulsion and advanced propulsion technologies
  • Contribute to wind tunnel and aeronautics testing operations
  • Assist with cryogenic and thermal systems testing for spaceflight hardware
  • Perform structural dynamics and vibration analysis for spacecraft systems
  • Support dynamic power generation and advanced thermal management systems
  • Contribute to intelligent control systems and autonomy research
  • Assist with flight software, avionics, and embedded systems development
  • Support instrumentation, data acquisition, and high-speed test systems
  • Work on advanced materials research for extreme lunar and Martian environments
  • Participate in mission modeling and systems analysis supporting Artemis and Gateway programs

Interns work alongside NASA engineers and scientists on real hardware, real test campaigns, and real flight projects.
