Housing Ambassador
University Housing - Housing Ambassador (Summer 2026 Position)
Housing Ambassadors are responsible for active participation in, and engagement with, the marketing and recruitment plan for the Department of University Housing.
Housing Ambassadors interact with prospective and incoming students during admissions and orientation events, or other events designed to recruit prospective students.
Housing Ambassadors will be trained to perform housing presentations and tours that accurately and enthusiastically represent the Department of University Housing. They will also be trained extensively on one-on-one and small group customer interactions and problem solving.
Required events will include new student orientations; parent orientations; and Undergraduate Admissions recruitment events.
Housing Ambassadors will also provide office assistant support in the Hillcrest Hall Housing Office, as needed.
Conditions of Employment:
- A minimum of one-year's experience living in on-campus housing is preferred.
- A minimum 2.75 cumulative and semester grade point average must be maintained throughout the period of employment.
- Candidates must remain in good disciplinary standing throughout the period of employment.
- Due to the formal and informal demands of the position, involvement in other activities that require a sizeable time commitment (i.e., volunteer work, additional employment, or academic courses or labs), must be communicated to, and approved by the Assistant Director for Housing Enrollment.

Housing Ambassadors are expected to:
- Be on time to all assigned shifts and events.
- Meet all designated deadlines.
- Act as a positive representative for the Department of University Housing.
- Actively participate in and contribute to the marketing plan for the Department of University Housing.
- Adhere to all expectations outlined in the Housing Ambassador Training Manual.
