Investigations Support Intern

Job Title: Summer Internship – Investigations Support Intern (Office-Based)

Schedule: Full-time 8:00 am - 4:00 pm

Position Overview
PhotoFax, Inc., a nationwide private investigations firm, is seeking a Summer Intern to support our investigative operations team in an office-based role. This internship differs from our field investigator internships and is focused on the technical, operational, and administrative side of investigations. The position provides hands-on exposure to investigative technology, surveillance support processes, and evidence management.

This is an ideal opportunity for students pursuing Criminal Justice, Criminology, Information Technology, Digital Forensics, or related fields who are interested in gaining practical experience within the investigations industry.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Video duplication and organization of surveillance evidence
  • USV (Unmanned Surveillance Vehicle) monitoring and operational support
  • Digital extractions and file management
  • Assistance with equipment preparation and deployments
  • Data entry and documentation support for investigative files
  • General administrative and operational support to the investigations team

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a college or university program or recent graduate
  • Interest in investigations, criminal justice, technology, or related field
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Comfortable working with computers, video files, and technology systems
  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently when needed

Preferred Qualifications

  • Criminal Justice, Criminology, Digital Forensics, or IT coursework
  • Prior internship or work experience in an office or technical environment
  • Familiarity with basic computer troubleshooting or file management
