Industrial Automation Technical Consulting Intern
Transform the everyday with us!
Siemens Digital Industries Automation is a leader in industrial automation and digitalization. Our technologies enable customers to digitally transform their factories and manufacturing processes through advanced automated controls, high-speed drives, and equipment maintenance and safety systems, along with powerful Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) data capabilities. This unlocks previously unrecognized manufacturing potential, reveals new insights, and enables solutions that seemed unimaginable before.
We are looking for engineering students to join the Digital Industries Automation Internship Program - Technical Consulting Track. This position will be based at Alpharetta, GA.
This is a 12-week summer internship program (May 18, 2026 – August 7, 2026) that is designed to help you develop the technical expertise, consultative skills, and business proficiencies needed to succeed in technical solution consulting roles. - Researching customer needs and industry trends, matching our technologies to specific customer opportunities and competitive market landscapes
- Developing and analyzing customer data to create install bases and identifying high-potential "hunting grounds" and drive short-cycle business opportunities for sales teams
- Creating and prioritizing targeted customer recommendations, including drafting compelling presentations and strategic questions for customer engagements
- Applying engineering fundamentals to design easy-to-understand technical content, diagrams, and guides that effectively explain complex Siemens solutions to OEM customers or selling partners
- Supporting the preparation of customer-facing presentations and proposals, showcasing how Siemens products address real-world challenges
- Building impactful technical marketing and digital enablement materials, such as brochures, playbooks, and online content, to support sales efforts and customer understanding
