Minimum Qualifications of Education and Experience
Current college student pursuing a degree in computer science, or related field
OR
Recent graduate in the last six (6) months with a degree in computer science or related field.
Regular and reliable attendance is a necessary component of job/position. Individuals required to use County vehicles and equipment must have a valid driver’s license and be free of any major traffic violations for the last three (3) years.
Nature of Work
Under general supervision, this position will have a focus on PC replacements and supporting Olmsted County staff with technology needs. Potential opportunities to work with network, server, coding, and development processes. Assists with projects as available. Supports a diverse, respectful, and inclusive workplace.
Examples of Work
- Supports the PC replacement process.
- Collaborates with other Information Technology Solutions (ITS) staff and contributes to cross functional projects.
- Assists with workflow automation.
- Makes recommendations and assists in the implementation of initiatives to enhance/streamline processes and better utilize technology.
- Prepares and maintains organized procedures and documents process improvement steps.
- Assists with creating technical support documentation
- Performs other duties as required.
