Supporting transitioning service members and emerging professionals is not administrative work—it is a core part of our long‑term growth strategy.
The Veteran & Internship Program Liaison Internship is designed to expand military partnerships, strengthen academic pipelines, and support structured internship and apprenticeship pathways. You’ll coordinate SkillBridge documentation, manage compliance requirements, present UEV programs to external partners, and track measurable transition outcomes that support both talent development and organizational positioning.
This internship is open to university students, community college learners, SkillBridge participants, apprentices, and civilian candidates committed to building meaningful workforce pathways.
What You’ll Do
Military & Academic Partnership Development
- Build relationships with military transition offices, base education centers, and veteran‑serving organizations
- Develop structured outreach to universities, community colleges, and career services departments
- Coordinate partnership meetings, follow‑up communication, and engagement workflows
- Create repeatable outreach templates and communication systems that scale
SkillBridge Coordination & Compliance
- Assist in managing SkillBridge approval documentation and onboarding requirements
- Track participation timelines, reporting obligations, and compliance standards
- Maintain accurate records aligned with Department of Defense expectations
- Ensure documentation supports UEV’s eligibility and federal partnership positioning
External Program Presentation
- Present UEV’s internship, apprenticeship, and transition programs to external partners
- Develop presentation decks, structured talking points, and informational materials
- Participate in base briefings, career fairs, virtual information sessions, and outreach events
- Communicate clear career pathways, program expectations, and measurable outcomes
Placement Tracking & Transition Metrics
- Track intern placement rates, SkillBridge participation, and post‑program employment outcomes
- Develop dashboards that measure transition success and workforce impact
- Monitor retention, performance indicators, and engagement trends
- Report pipeline performance and insights to leadership
Veteran Engagement & Strategic Positioning
- Ensure program alignment with UEV’s commitment to veteran workforce development
- Support documentation demonstrating veteran engagement and structured transition support
- Strengthen organizational positioning for federal partnerships and contracting opportunities
- Build reporting systems that reinforce credibility with government and academic partners
Requirements
- Interest in workforce development, military transition programs, partnership strategy, or talent pipelines
- Strong communication and relationship‑building skills
- Comfort presenting programs to external stakeholders and leadership audiences
- Organized, detail‑oriented, and aware of compliance‑driven processes
- Ability to manage structured reporting, documentation, and follow‑up systems
- Availability for virtual meetings:
- Mondays @ 9:00 AM MST
- Wednesdays @ 10:00 AM MST
- Fridays @ 8:00 AM MST
- Self‑motivated, professional, and committed to building strong veteran and academic pipelines
