Job Summary

FordDirect is looking to hire an Intern for our Summer Internship Program.  This role will work on our Human Resources Team.  The position will provide exposure to HR operations, processes, forms and policies working with HR leads.  This is an excellent opportunity to obtain real-world, corporate experience on an HR team.

This will be a full-time, paid position based in Dearborn, MI

Intern will be required to work in the office Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday

Duration: June 8th through August 28th, 2026

Essential Functions

  1. Assist with the development of HR SharePoint site
  2. Work with team members to inventory/catalogue HR forms, templates, policies, and create HR Help Center content

Learning Opportunities 

  1. Assist in creation of HR knowledge management system
  2. Understand employee informational needs for a corporate HR Help Center
  3. Gain Project Management skills including status updates deadline management working with mulitple stakeholders
  4. Learn about the inner workings of HR disciplines including recruiting, operations, employee relations, payroll, benefits and learning
  5. Obtain experience working both independently and on a team

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities

  • Technical aptitude with workplace tools (SharePoint, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Strong organizational skills and time management skills
  • Self-driven, can independently manage work tasks and deadlines
  • Good communication skills, will seek out answers to ensure alignment
  • Can-do attitude

Education 
Junior or Senior undergrad student majoring in Human Resources
