INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY INTERNSHIP AT MOTOR
At MOTOR Information Systems, an operating group of Hearst, we design information solutions for the vehicle aftermarket from decades of automotive content related to parts, repair and service. These solutions are delivered as printed books, data extracts, web services, and software applications.
Our Application Development team of analysts, developers, architects, DBAs, and Project Managers design and deliver both internal content management tools and external facing applications. MOTOR has an exciting opportunity for a passionate Information Technology Intern, who has experience in Information Technology with any of the following disciplines: Technical Business Analyst, Application Development, Quality Assurance Engineer, DevOps, User Experience Development. JOB DESCRIPTION
Primary Responsibilities
• Rotate through roles including Application Development, QA, DevOps, Technical Business Analysis, and UX
• Design, build, test, and deploy applications using modern technologies and CI/CD pipelines
• Participate in code reviews and follow industry best practices
• Build and maintain automated tests and support quality assurance efforts
• Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver solutions
• Contribute to high-quality user experience for internal and external products
• Learn and apply emerging technologies such as AI, Data Analytics, and Data Science
Required Qualifications
• Must be in, and remain in good academic standing with the University throughout internship
• Junior or Senior in any Information Technology related degree
• Must maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher throughout internship
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• 1+ years hands-on experience in Information Technology
