FP&A Intern

Our corporate office in Livonia Michigan is currently seeking a Financial Analyst-FP&A Intern to join our ever-growing Finance team!  The FP&A Intern should be highly motivated, detail-oriented, be able to solve problems, and operate in a fast-paced, growth-oriented business environment.  The primary focus of this role will be to track and analyze KPIs, assist in budgeting and forecasting processes, develop and improve reporting, work with business partners, and contribute to strategic projects.

 

Job Title: FP&A Intern

Location: Livonia, MI - On Site

Duration: 10 Weeks

Summer Internship Cycle: June-August

Mastronardi offers a structured, 10-week internship program that runs three times per year, during the Spring, Summer and Fall. This internship provides students the opportunity to gain hands-on experience, develop skills, contribute to meaningful projects, and learn from industry professionals.

 Primary Responsibilities: 

  • Assess financial performance by analyzing key metrics, comparing actual results to forecasts and budgets, and identifying and investigating variances.
  • Assist in the development and automation of recurring reports and dashboards to effectively track key business and market indicators.
  • Manage key data sources for various reporting and analyses.
  • Support the Procurement team in populating and reporting historical grower pay pricing.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to evaluate existing reporting tools, implement process enhancements, and support ongoing initiatives and projects.
  • Contribute to Ad-Hoc reporting, analysis, and projects.

 

Education/Background Requirements: 

  • Currently enrolled in or have recently completed a bachelor’s degree in finance, business analytics, or a related discipline.
  • Prior internship experience in financial analysis, data analytics, and modeling is preferred. 

Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required 

  • Results-driven with strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and can manage multiple priorities and evolving issues in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively across departments.
  • Desire to learn and continuously improve.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; experience with data visualization tools is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to summarize and present findings clearly to various audiences.
  • Customer-oriented with an ability to collaborate cross-functionally to deliver impactful solutions and process enhancements.
  • Experience with ERPs (preferably MS Navision) is a plus.

 

Working Conditions: 

  • Typical office environment.
  • May periodically travel to visit company facilities in USA and Canada. Valid passport required.
