Assessment Administration Analyst (Property Analyst 9-P11)

The Property Services Division provides support to the State Tax Commission in administering the General Property Tax Act. This position is responsible for performing a wide range of functions that support assessor administration throughout the State of Michigan.

Key responsibilities include researching, analyzing, and providing guidance on all aspects of local property tax and assessment administration. Topics may include, but are not limited to, taxable value calculations, transfers of ownership, disabled veteran exemptions, land value calculations, Economic Condition Factor (ECF) development, and the determination of true cash value.

This position will also support the State Average Tax Rate analysis and the Department of Natural Resources (DNR) Payment in Lieu of Taxes (PILT) program. In addition, the role will coordinate the State Assessed Property roll.

Education
Possession of a bachelor's degree in any major.

Experience 

Property Analyst 9
No specific type or amount is required.
 
Property Analyst 10    
One year of professional experience in real estate equivalent to a Property Analyst 9.

Property Analyst P11 
Two years of professional experience in real estate equivalent to a Property Analyst, including one year equivalent to a Property Analyst 10.
