Position Overview
Lutherdale Bible Camp is seeking Summer Program Coordinators to join our leadership team for Summer 2026. This is a high-impact, residential leadership role ideal for college students pursuing education, ministry, recreation, youth development, nonprofit leadership, social work, or related fields.
As a Summer Program Coordinator, you will supervise and mentor summer staff, lead daily camp programming, manage logistics, and help create a safe, Christ-centered community where campers grow in faith, confidence, and belonging.
This is a challenging and deeply rewarding leadership experience that builds transferable skills in supervision, conflict management, public speaking, organization, and team development.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership & Supervision
- Supervise and mentor cabin leaders and support staff
- Conduct weekly one-on-one mentor meetings
- Provide encouragement, feedback, and performance support
- Model professionalism, integrity, and faith-centered leadership
- Serve as a liaison between summer staff and administrative leadership
Program Management
- Oversee daily camp schedule and activities
- Coordinate morning devotions, worship elements, and all-camp games
- Manage activity sign-ups and weekly staff assignments
- Help facilitate Sunday registration and camper check-in
- Ensure smooth transitions between activities and meals
- Conduct nightly rounds to ensure camper safety
Conflict Resolution & Community Care
- Mediate conflicts between campers and/or staff
- Facilitate restorative community-building conversations
- Maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment
- Escalate concerns appropriately when needed
Administrative & Organizational Tasks
- Create weekly staff responsibility sheets
- Organize camper “village” groupings
- Collect and organize evaluations
- Support communication between departments

Qualifications
- Completed at least one year of college preferred
- Previous camp experience strongly preferred (but not required)
- Experience in leadership roles (RA, team captain, student org leader, etc.)
- Ability to manage conflict and make decisions under pressure
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Commitment to Christian faith and comfort leading prayer and worship
- Ability to work long, active days in an outdoor setting
Work Environment
- Residential summer position (housing and meals provided)
- Early mornings and late evenings
- Active outdoor environment
- Fast-paced, team-oriented setting
- No traditional daily “time off,” but built-in personal care windows
- Does not sleep in cabins with campers
