McShane Mechanical is a growing mechanical contracting firm specializing in HVAC & Sheet metal for commercial and industrial projects. We partner with top general contractors to deliver high-quality, efficient, and innovative building solutions.

We are seeking motivated and detail-oriented college students pursuing a degree in Construction Management (or related field) to join our team as a Project Engineer Intern.

Position Overview

This internship provides hands-on experience in mechanical construction operations, estimating, and project management. Interns will gain exposure to real-world projects while working alongside experienced Project Managers, Estimators, and Field Supervisors.

This is an excellent opportunity for students seeking to get on the project management track. 

Key Responsibilities

Assist Project Managers with project coordination and documentation

Support estimating team with take-offs, bid preparation, and vendor communication

Participate in jobsite visits and field coordination meetings

Help track submittals, RFIs, schedules, and change orders

Review drawings and specifications

Assist with procurement and material tracking

Perform project cost tracking and basic reporting

Qualifications

Currently enrolled in a Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related program

Strong organizational and communication skills

Interest in mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, piping)

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)

Ability to read construction drawings is a plus

Eagerness to learn and work in a team-oriented environment

Compensation: Paid internship (competitive hourly rate)
