Product Management Intern

Job Summary
Product managers at The Philadelphia Inquirer are responsible for continuous improvement of Inquirer.com and our mobile apps, focused on building a sustainable business for indispensable local journalism. As a product intern, you will work with product managers and the rest of the product, design and engineering team to gather research and data, coordinate with stakeholders, and map desired outcomes. Together, we’ll define a project you can complete in your time with us.

This is a 9-week, paid, full-time internship running from June through August 2026.

What You’ll Do

  • Participate in team rituals, such as standups, prioritization, and refinement meetings
  • Learn The Inquirer’s outcomes-driven product process
  • Get familiar with The Inquirer’s portfolio of digital products
  • Work with product managers to identify a project, such as a competitive analysis or product feature, to complete during your internship
  • Complete a final capstone project summarizing your experience and key takeaways
     

Who We’re Looking For

  • Currently enrolled at an accredited college or university
  • Rising juniors or seniors studying journalism, communications, or a related field, as well as recent graduates and current graduate students 
  • Strong communication, creative problem-solving and collaborative skills
  • A belief in the value of local journalism and a desire to support The Inquirer’s mission to be the indispensable source of local news and information serving the diverse communities of the Philadelphia region
