Part-Time IT Intern (Temp to Hire Opportunity)
Location: Madison Heights, MI
Pay:  Starts at $18/hour
Schedule: Flexible start date, scheduling within Monday-Friday between the hours of 8:30AM-5:00PM
Job Type: Part-Time Summer Internship with potential for permanent placement

About the Role:

Join our Internal IT team for the summer and gain hands-on experience exploring AI-assisted software development and automation. This internship focuses on researching and testing emerging AI tools, evaluating how they can improve internal processes, and helping prototype practical solutions that support internal systems and workflows.

This position begins as a temporary summer internship, with the potential to grow based on performance, fit, and business needs.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research and evaluate emerging AI-assisted development tools and platforms.
  • Test and experiment with agent-based workflows and automation concepts for internal processes.
  • Assist in prototyping internal tools or scripts that improve operational efficiency.
  • Explore integrations between internal systems and AI tools to support workflow automation.
  • Document findings, test results, and recommended use cases to support future IT initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
     

What We’re Looking For:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field
  • Interest in AI-assisted development tools, automation, and emerging AI workflows
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable experimenting with new technologies and documenting findings
  • Able to work both independently and collaboratively within a technical team
  • Curious, proactive, and eager to explore practical applications of AI in internal software tools and processes
