Safety Intern
As an intern, you will have the opportunity to gain a comprehensive understanding of Airboss’s practices. Your internship experience will involve a combination of safety-related projects and learning initiatives.
This role will require 100% on-site attendance located in Auburn Hills, Michigan and will not be a virtual - work from home position.
Responsibilities for safety intern
- Pull injury incident data to produce analytical reports, solve problems and identify safety risks
- Keep up to date 300 logs
- Keep data up to date on the Safety initiatives
- Design and deliver training materials to educate employees about safety procedures, the correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and how to respond to emergencies
- Review emergency response plans, conducting drills, and ensure that all employees know their roles during an emergency
- Responsible for gathering information, interviewing witnesses, and examining the accident scene to complete incident/injury reports.
- Create safety newsletters and update bulletin boards
- Conduct safety audits on the plant floor
Qualifications for safety intern
- Must be enrolled in a four (4) year college or university
- Sophomore status or higher towards a Bachelor of Science in Environment, Health, and Safety
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
