Electromechanical Engineering Intern

Schneider Electric has a new Electromechanical Engineering Intern position for Summer 2026 based in Andover, MA.

 
 

Schneider Electric is leading in UPS designs for Datacenters, using state of the art: Power Electronics, Embedded Control, Electric Power Engineering, energy storage and Mechatronic Technology – pioneering for green power solutions with high efficiency and power density.

What will you do?

  • You will be assigned to a buddy, who will assign you tasks and support you through your internship.
  • As Intern you will be part of our engineering team working in the Electro-Mechanical domain, in the following Mechatronic Technology areas:
    • 3D CAD drawings
    • Simulation: mechanical strength during short circuit, transportation, Thermal simulation, etc.
    • Manufacturing, Prototyping, Sustainability

Can also be:

  • Electrical Power principles, Breakers and Cable dimensioning, Main circuit schematics

For this U.S. based position, the expected compensation range is $22- $27 per hour. In addition, this position is eligible for overtime pay and recognition programs. The compensation rate for this position is for candidates located within the United States. Individual pay is determined by several factors including knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

What qualifications will make you successful for this role?

  • You are currently a Bachelor's or Master's university student pursuing a Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree.
  • You are looking for a great place to be an Intern, or a place where you can work, while writing your final thesis.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time, ongoing basis. The company does not provide immigration sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Must be currently local to Boston/Andover MA
