Marketing and Social Media Intern

Drone Brothers is a dynamic and innovative Nationwide Drone service provider dedicated to helping General Contractors (Construction Companies) learn, understand and take advantage of drone technology to track progress of their construction projects.   We are seeking a motivated and creative Marketing & Social Media Intern to join our team this Spring and/or Summer. Position: 
Marketing & Social Media Intern

Location:
We are HQ’d in Metro Detroit and all work virtually from our home offices

Duration and Working Hours: 
May 11th through August 14th (Start and end dates flexible). It is expected that the candidate will be able to work an average of 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in developing and implementing social media strategies to increase brand awareness and engagement with emphasis on LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, and Facebook
  • Create engaging content (posts, videos, graphics, etc.) for our channels that align with the brand's voice and objectives.
  • Monitor for trends, conversations, and engagement opportunities, and provide regular insights and reports.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to brainstorm and execute marketing campaigns, promotions, and initiatives.
  • Assist with email marketing campaigns including content creation, list segmentation, scheduling, and performance tracking.
  • Support the planning and execution of educational events, both online and offline.
  • Provide general administrative support to the marketing department as needed.

Essential Skills:

  • Writing & Editing: Strong command of grammar, tone, and style with the ability to write clearly and concisely for a variety of social and digital formats.
  • Document Composition: Comfortable working in document composing software (such as Microsoft Word or Google Docs) for drafting, formatting, and collaborating on written content.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work effectively within a team, contribute ideas, and support shared goals in a collaborative environment.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to give and receive feedback professionally.
  • Time Management & Organization: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, and stay organized in a remote work environment.
  • Generative AI: Familiarity with generative AI tools and a willingness to leverage them to enhance content creation, streamline workflows, and produce stronger first drafts.

 

Compensation:
This internship role will be paid an hourly rate between $16-18/hr based on experience and year in school.
