Quality Intern

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated student to join our Quality organization as a Quality Intern. The intern will support warranty analysis, customer scorecard tracking, quality documentation, and customer interface activities. This role provides exposure to both plant operations and project‑level quality processes while building strong analytical and communication skills.

Mission

The mission of this role is to support Quality Engineering, Project Quality Leads (PQL), and plant teams in ensuring customer satisfaction, effective issue management, and data‑driven decision‑making. Key activities include:

  • Downloading and reviewing warranty data and customer scorecard data.
  • Analyzing warranty performance trends across sites, including field results and related financial impacts.
  • Supporting PQL activities to ensure:
    • Customer quality requirements are met.
    • Approval documents are prepared and submitted to customers.
    • Customer Specific Requirements (CSRs) are clearly communicated within the project team.
    • Project quality status is monitored and risks are escalated when necessary.
  • Supporting plant and project teams in interactions with customers regarding part acceptance, non‑conforming material, and related communication.

Responsibilities

The intern will support a wide range of quality, analytical, and process‑improvement activities, including:

  • Contributing to continuous improvement efforts, including lessons learned, best practices, and updates to standards.
  • Supporting problem‑solving processes for major customer or internal complaints.
  • Assisting with Design Reviews and Quad Reviews to ensure open points are incorporated into risk assessments.
  • Supporting the deployment, maintenance, and updates of quality standards.
  • Assisting with geometry, appearance, and validation assessments as required.
  • Developing warranty databases and improving analysis methods to strengthen data interpretation.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field).
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Customer‑focused mindset and professional approach.
  • Effective task‑management skills with the ability to prioritize and follow through.
  • Solid analytical abilities, including the capacity to analyze data, identify trends, and summarize key findings with recommended actions.
