What we are looking for:

Yazaki is looking for a motivated Co-op join our ECI Sales & Business Development team in Canton, MI.  The ideal candidate thrives in a collaborative, results-oriented environment and is eager to make meaningful contributions to the organization.

 

What you will be doing:

  • Daily Tasks: Inventory existing BI (business intelligence) systems, data sources and business uses. Understand current uses of SFDC (salesforce.com) and identify areas for improved efficiency, reporting and data analytics. Support re-training of core users. Other business analytics projects as requested.
  • Success Metrics: Understanding of current BI usage, mapping and deployment of new systems. Streamlining of SFDC usage and improved efficiencies.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross functional teams in Sales, IT, finance, and others as required..

 

What you will bring to the table:

  • Education: Enrollment in a 4-year degree program at an accredited institution during the internship period.
  • Relevant Background: Degree/experience related to the position (e.g., data analytics, Yazaki business systems).
  • Academic Standing: A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
  • Commitment: Availability to work a minimum of 8 months - Up to 2 years depending on scope of project & other opportunities within Yazaki. Targeting junior standing or lower.  Will need to commute on-site once a week during school semesters (part time hours).  Can pick up more hours during the summer  (full time is possible).  
  • Technical Skills: Microsoft Suite (XLS, PPT, Outlook, Teams)
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and critical-thinking abilities.
