Project Name: Evaluation of the nurse staffing levels and medication administration among skilled nursing homes in Massachusetts

  • Hours Per Week: Part Time (approx. 12 hours)

Position Overview:  
This research project examines the association between long-term care staffing levels and care quality, specifically focusing on medication administration and nursing oversight within the context of new regulatory mandates. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Compile and analyze datasets from the quarterly Payroll-Based Journal (PBJ ) datasets and analyze the staffing level data which includes the current quarter and historical data for trend analysis;  
  • Compile and analyze the nursing home federal data to identify common deficiencies, with a particular focus on medication administration and nursing oversight; 
  • Examine the association between nursing home staffing levels and the deficiency.
