Are you a detail-oriented business or accounting student looking for hands-on experience in real estate finance, property management, and business operations?

Rivers Investment & Management Group (RIMG) is seeking a motivated Accounting/Bookkeeping Intern to support bookkeeping, financial reporting, and property management operations across our portfolio of apartments, condominium, cooperative communities, and single family rentals.

This internship offers practical, resume-building experience working directly with leadership in a multigenerational real estate firm. You’ll gain exposure to the financial and operational backbone of real estate management while developing professional skills that translate directly into careers in accounting, finance, consulting, and real estate investment.

What You’ll Work On

Financial & Accounting Support

• Enter and track invoices, expenses, and financial records across multiple properties
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
• Process and record incoming resident payments
• Help reconcile bank accounts and financial records
• Support preparation of monthly financial reports and budget summaries
• Assist with deposit tracking and payment documentation

Business Operations & Administration

• Communicate professionally with residents, vendors, and team members
• Prepare reports, meeting materials, and business correspondence
• Maintain organized digital and physical records
• Use Microsoft Excel, Word, and property management software to track operations
• Support administrative coordination across multiple properties

Real Estate & Property Management Exposure

• Assist with operational tasks related to condominium/cooperative communities
• Help coordinate vendor invoices and service providers
• Track maintenance and operational expenses
• Observe how financial decisions impact real estate operations

Experience with QuickBooks, Buildium, or accounting systems is a plus but not required.
