Position Summary:
The Summer Intern will support the operations of the Global Immunization President’s Office, with a focus on strategic communications and analyses. Working with the Manager, Program Strategy, the intern will assist in developing and organizing strategic materials for GI, including briefings, presentations, and reports that support leadership engagement. The intern will also provide operational support to the President’s Office, including ensuring timely follow-up on key priorities. This role contributes to the efficiency and effectiveness of the office by strengthening information flow, supporting cross-functional coordination, and enabling the team to focus on strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the development and refinement of Global Immunization (GI) strategic communications materials, including fact sheets, briefing documents, and presentations
- Assist in creating slide decks for internal and external audiences, aligned with organizational messaging
- Conduct literature reviews and analyze key topics to inform the President’s priorities, including summarizing insights and developing concise briefing notes and talking points
- Work with the Manager, Program Strategy to draft, edit, and update content for strategic documents and communications materials
- Tracks input, feedback, and revisions from stakeholders to support timely completion of deliverables
- Organize and maintain materials and resources for easy access by the President’s Office
- Provide support for leadership presentations by compiling data, visuals, and summaries
Requirements:
- Currently enrolled college undergraduate or graduate student (in public health, global health or development, medicine or a related field)
- Interest in public health, life sciences, vaccine science or a related field
- Interest in governance, strategy development, and analyses
- Excellent communications skills (listening, writing, speaking)
- Proficient in core Microsoft 365 applications, video conferencing (i.e., Zoom or Teams), Adobe Acrobat and conducting internet searches
- Close attention to detail, ability to manage complex tasks, highly organized, flexible, and able to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
- Analytical skills
- Available to work between 15-20 hours per week during the Summer Semester
