AI Engineering Intern at AI Healthcare Start Up

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
 

  • Contribute to real product and engineering work across our web application, backend services, and internal tools
  • Help build and improve software features using modern tools such as TypeScript, React, and Next.js
  • Fix bugs, test changes, and help maintain clean, reliable code in a production codebase
  • Support data-oriented engineering tasks such as working with APIs, application logic, and database-backed workflows
  • Document technical work clearly and communicate progress, questions, and findings to the team
  • Participate in code reviews, engineering discussions, and product problem-solving with founders and engineers
     

INTERN WILL LEARN/DEVELOP:
 

  • How an experienced software engineering team builds and ships production software at a startup
  • Hands-on experience with full-stack development, including frontend, backend, databases, and testing
  • How to read, understand, and contribute to a large TypeScript codebase used in a live healthcare product
  • Best practices in debugging, writing maintainable code, version control, and collaborating with engineers
  • How AI-powered healthcare software works in practice, including workflow automation and high-stakes product decision-making
  • A concrete portfolio of technical work, including shipped features, bug fixes, test coverage, and documented contributions
     

SUPERVISION
 

You'll work alongside our CEO and engineers. We will have weekly feedback sessions and your direct supervisors on a daily basis will be both the CEO and our founding engineer. You will receive hands-on guidance on how to break down technical problems, write and review code, debug issues effectively, and communicate clearly in a professional software development environment. We will help you build practical programming skills, understand how a production AI healthcare platform is designed and maintained, and identify your strengths so you can grow quickly in the areas that fit you best.
