Community Engagement 2026 Summer Student Internship Position
Timeframe: June 1 – August 28, 2026 (10-13 weeks – last day can be earlier)
Eligible Criteria: Undergraduate (must be actively enrolled in a formal degree program for the upcoming semester)
Compensation: Hourly pay ($21.50-$23.00 per hour based on academic level); no more than 37.5 hrs./wk.
The student will engage in a mix of communications, administrative, analytic, and event-support activities, including, but not limited to:
- Assisting MSK staff in organizing, setting up for, and carrying out community events.
- Help manage MSK’s community events calendar and internal data systems
- Compiling lists:
- Potential community partners reaching target audiences for MSK
- Local elected officials and their community liaisons
- Assist with developing a list of leading equity-focused CBOs in greater NYC organized by group, catchment, and issue focus.
- Filling in gaps in the team database regarding information about MSK’s community-facing programs.
- Writing short pieces of copy for the MSK community newsletter.
In addition, students will be invited to join other educational activities including departmental lunch and learns, team meetings and events, and town halls.
