A leading digital bank and Fortune 500 Financial Institution is seeking Systems Engineers to join the operations team responsible for driving operational standards and features on business-critical applications across the enterprise. Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To:

  • Support both on-premise Java-based applications and cloud-based Spring Boot services, including patching, upgrades, and troubleshooting
  • Containerize services using Docker and implement scalable orchestration and deployments in Kubernetes
  • Develop, maintain, and optimize GitLab CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment workflows
  • Configure and support API proxies, policies, and security using Apigee or related API Gateway platforms
  • Implement Observability standards, dashboards, logging, and monitoring using Dynatrace
  • Assist with ongoing cloud transformation efforts, including migration of legacy services and activation of new cloud deployments
  • Perform production support activities, including certificate updates, server restarts, configuration management, and incident troubleshooting
  • Collaborate with development teams on microservices architecture and integration approaches

Minimum Requirements:

  • B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Data Science, Management Information Systems (MIS) or similar field or equivalent experience and work record
  • Strong programming foundation in Java and familiarity with JBoss application server
  • Understanding of database concepts and experience with Oracle (queries, stored procedures, schemas, etc.)
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools, preferably GitLab
  • Understanding of containers (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes)
  • Ability to work through production incidents and communicate effectively across teams
  • Strong problem-solving skills, accountability, and initiative to research/learn independently
  • Strong conceptual understanding of cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) and microservices
  • Bonus Skills: Oracle, AWS, DevOps, Automation
