Job Summary
We are seeking energetic and dedicated Camp Counselors to join our vibrant overnight camp team! In this pivotal role, you will lead and inspire groups of children and youth, creating a safe, engaging, and enriching environment. Your enthusiasm and leadership will help foster personal growth, teamwork, and fun through a variety of activities. As a Camp Counselor, you will serve as a role model, mentor, and facilitator, ensuring every camper has an unforgettable experience while maintaining safety and discipline at all times. This paid position includes room and board and offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on young lives during their summer adventures.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise campers during daily activities, ensuring safety and engagement at all times
• Develop and implement age-appropriate programs that promote learning, creativity, and physical activity
• Manage behavior using positive behavior management strategies 
• Collaborate with fellow staff to plan special events, themed days, and team-building exercises

Skills

• Apply basic youth development principles in working with campers through communication, relationship development, and respect for diversity, involvement and empowerment of youth.
• Knowledge of childhood development principles to support age-specific needs
• Proficiency in first aid and emergency response procedures
• Background in special education or working with children with diverse learning needs is a plus
• Excellent communication skills for working effectively with children, parents, and team members
