Wristband, Sensor Fusion Engineer Intern

JD — Embedded Systems & Sensor Fusion Engineer Intern

Wetour Robotics | Austin, TX (Onsite) | Project-Based | Paid | Apr-May 2026 (application form linked below)

Intro
Wetour Robotics builds the OS layer for Physical AI. We are launching Orchestra, our first public product, at an industry event in Austin in mid-May 2026. This role builds the data backbone that makes it all run. Every sensor signal that enters Orchestra passes through the system you architect.

What You'll Do

🔌 Design and deploy the deterministic data gateway for our primary sensor clusters: 8-channel EMG, 6-axis IMU, and quad-anchor UWB.

⏱️ Architect the multi-rate synchronization engine to align 1000Hz sEMG with 40Hz UWB streams at sub-millisecond jitter.

🔧 Optimize Linux kernel-level serial and BLE communication (UART/BLE/Socket) for minimal latency on ARM-based prototype hardware.

What We're Looking For

✔ Proficiency in C++ and Python (Asyncio/Multiprocessing)
✔ Proven experience in real-time digital signal processing (DSP) and ring-buffer management
✔ Deep understanding of Linux IPC and hardware-level protocol parsing
✔ Comfortable working directly with 8-channel EMG sensors and ARM-based architectures

If you are...

✔ Someone who treats "sub-millisecond jitter" as a personal challenge, not a spec to hit
✔ Someone with an almost intuitive feel for Linux IPC and hardware-level protocol parsing
✔ Someone who reaches for deterministic C++ over high-level wrappers by default
✔ Comfortable at the intersection of EMG sensors and ARM-based architectures
✔ The kind of person who builds the data highway while the car is moving
✔ Fluent in English, written and spoken

Role Details

Project-based internship, now through mid-May 2026. In-person in Austin, TX. Paid.
