Purpose of the job
The intern will contribute to ongoing projects and daily operations, supporting the team in achieving business objectives while gaining exposure to the company’s processes, culture, and industry best practices. Through collaboration, research, and assigned tasks, the intern will develop professional skills, broaden their understanding of the organization, and explore potential career paths within AkzoNobel.
Key responsibilities
- Assist with day-to-day operations and administrative tasks to support the team and ensure smooth workflow within the department or business unit.
- Participate in assigned projects by conducting research, collecting and analyzing data, and preparing reports or presentations as needed.
- Collaborate with team members and other departments on cross-functional initiatives, offering support and sharing ideas to drive results.
- Attend meetings, training sessions, and workshops to gain insight into business processes and company operations.
- Contribute to process improvements by identifying opportunities for greater efficiency and suggesting practical solutions.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with company policies and standards.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders, demonstrating professionalism and a willingness to learn.
- Adhere to all AkzoNobel safety, quality, and compliance guidelines in daily activities.
- Take on additional duties or special assignments as requested to support business needs and further develop professional skills.
Level of autonomy
Limited as the intern will be here temporarily, their direct supervisor and manager needs to be made aware of actions the intern is taking.
Job requirements
Educational Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or in a relevant field
- Completed 2+ years at a 4-year university
- 3.0 GPA or above (cumulative)
Relevant Experience:
Previous internship or part-time work experience is an advantage but not required.
