Overview

PLANET.TECH has a powerful story — a 10-person team that went from near-zero to 28.8% methane capture efficiency in under a year, with 35 dairy farm LOIs and a mission to prevent 14% of global methane emissions. As our Brand & Marketing Intern, you'll help shape how the world sees us. This role is about building a brand identity from the ground up: voice, visual system, messaging, and presence across every channel we touch. If you're the kind of person who thinks about why a brand feels the way it feels, this is your role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and evolve the PLANET.TECH brand guide: visual identity, tone of voice, messaging hierarchy, and usage standards
  • Develop messaging frameworks for distinct audiences — investors, dairy farmers, media, and climate tech communities
  • Build and manage our social media presence on LinkedIn and Twitter/X (currently minimal — you'd be starting from scratch)
  • Create branded visual assets: social graphics, infographics, pitch deck templates, one-pagers, and event materials
  • Draft thought leadership content and blog posts on behalf of the CEO
  • Support media outreach: research journalists covering climate and ag tech, draft pitch angles, track placements
  • Write and format investor update newsletters and stakeholder communications
  • Monitor brand consistency across all external materials and identify gaps
  • Help prepare materials for climate conferences, ag industry events, and investor demo days

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Brand Strategy, Graphic Design, or related field
  • Strong writing skills — you can make complex, technical ideas sound clear and compelling
  • Eye for visual design and brand consistency; experience with Canva, Figma, or Adobe Creative Suite
  • Experience managing or building a social media presence (personal or professional)
  • Self-starter who can own a content calendar without being micromanaged
  • Genuine interest in climate tech, sustainability, agriculture, or deep tech

Bonus Qualifications

  • Portfolio showing brand work, content, or writing samples
  • Experience with B2B marketing or communicating technical/hardware products to non-technical audiences
  • Background in PR, journalism, or media relations
  • Video production or editing skills (great for farm visit content and social storytelling)
  • Familiarity with HubSpot or email marketing platforms

Why PLANET.TECH?

  • Work directly with the founding team — no busy work, real strategic impact from day one
  • Join a company that just hit 28.8% methane capture efficiency, crossing commercial viability ahead of schedule
  • Build your resume with a venture-backed climate tech startup solving a planetary-scale problem
  • Flexible hours designed around your class schedule
  • Strong potential for full-time conversion or continued role for high performers
