We are looking for a motivated and self-driven Information Technology (IT) Intern to join our team. The IT Intern will support our IT department in providing technical assistance, maintaining computer systems, and configuring hardware and software. The successful candidate will be able to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, assist with the implementation of new technologies, and provide training and support to team members.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide IT support for the IAC Southfield and Troy office.
  • Provide technical assistance to staff and customers on hardware and software-related issues
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot computer systems, hardware, and software
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot any issues
  • Follow established procedures and processes for computer maintenance
  • Provide training and support to team members on the use of computer systems and software
  • Provide computer, and email support to the management team
  • Provide support for the conferencing boards and TV’s on-site
  • Provide basic networking support (Switches, Router, Access Points)
  • Perform system backups and maintain accurate records
  • Manage user accounts - Creating and Disabling user accounts
  • Mobile device support
  • Perform best practices in IT administration
  • Research and recommend solutions for technical problems
  • Document IT processes as needed
  • Support IT initiatives and projects

IT Intern Requirements and Qualifications

  • Knowledge of computer systems and software
  • Familiarity with hardware and software installation
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Able to learn quickly and adapt to changing technology
