Election Night Scraper

The Associated Press is seeking candidates to assist in scraping election night results for the 2026 election year.

Students with a focus on journalism and data science are encouraged to apply to this part-time, contractor role. Permission to work in the U.S. and experience working with data is required. Experience with automated web scraping and Python skills are preferred.

Work will be done remotely on election nights (Tuesdays). Hours typically begin after 6 pm ET and can run as late as 3 am. Successful applicants will begin work with the May primaries and continue through this year's November General Election. 

Candidates fitting these criteria should respond with a resume and brief note explaining their skills and experience.
