Strategic Program Architect

Job Description: Strategic Program Architect – Populus Innovation & Venture Strategy

The Strategic Program Architect plays a central role in shaping national‑scale initiatives, evaluating emerging technologies, and guiding investment decisions that align with our mission to create mass‑impact, population‑level programs.

Key Responsibilities

1. Program Design & Systems Architecture

Develop large‑scale, cross‑sector programs aimed at improving outcomes for broad populations (e.g., youth, working families, underserved communities, aging populations).

Translate research insights into actionable, fundable program models with measurable ROI and social impact.

Build logic models, theory‑of‑change frameworks, and multi‑year implementation roadmaps.

2. Venture Strategy & Investment Analysis

Evaluate early‑stage companies, technologies, and policy innovations aligned with mass‑populus impact.

Conduct market sizing, risk modeling, and competitive landscape analysis.

Collaborate with the investment team to identify high‑leverage opportunities for funding, incubation, or acquisition.

3. Research & Policy Intelligence

Lead research initiatives on emerging trends in economics, behavioral science, public policy, and technological innovation.

Produce white papers, briefs, and strategic memos for internal and external stakeholders.

Engage with academic partners, government agencies, and global institutions to synthesize best practices.

4. Cross‑Functional Leadership

Coordinate with product teams, community partners, and external advisors to pilot and scale programs.

Facilitate workshops, design sprints, and stakeholder convenings.

Present findings to executive leadership, investors, and policy leaders.

5. Impact Measurement & Optimization

Develop KPIs and evaluation frameworks for population‑level initiatives.

Use data analytics, behavioral insights, and continuous‑improvement methodologies to refine programs.

Ensure compliance with ethical, cultural, and community‑centered standards.

Qualifications

Required

Master’s degree in Public Policy, Economics, Business, Psychology, Sociology, or related field (MBA, MPP, MSW, MPH, or dual‑discipline preferred).

3–7 years of experience in think tanks, consulting, venture capital, public sector innovation, or large‑scale program design.

Strong analytical skills, including quantitative modeling, research synthesis, and strategic planning.

Demonstrated ability to design or manage programs serving large or diverse populations.

Exceptional writing, communication, and stakeholder‑engagement skills.

Preferred

Experience in venture capital, impact investing, or startup ecosystems.

Background in behavioral science, clinical or community mental health, or human‑centered design.

Familiarity with population‑level interventions, social determinants of health, or economic mobility frameworks.

Ability to translate complex research into accessible, actionable strategies.
