Engineering Intern

Internship Overview
This internship provides practical engineering experience in electrical design, mechanical design, and product testing. The intern will work closely with our engineering and sales teams to support airflow measurement applications, thermocouple integration, and product development projects. Students will gain exposure to sensor technology, wire harness design, SolidWorks modeling, and test system development.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the design and documentation of wire harnesses and cable assemblies
- Support thermocouple design, assembly, and integration
- Assist with SolidWorks modeling, wire harness design, and mechanical component design
- Help develop and build test benches for airflow measurement and product validation • Assist with prototype assembly, troubleshooting, and testing
- Collect and analyze engineering test data
- Provide technical support for customer airflow applications
- Assist with engineering drawings, documentation, and test procedures
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline
- SolidWorks experience required
- Basic knowledge of electrical circuits, sensors, and instrumentation
- Interest in hands-on engineering, prototyping, and testing
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Preferred Experience (Bonus Skills)
The following experience is not required but is highly valued:
- Experience working with sensors, thermocouples, or instrumentation systems
- Exposure to wire harness design or electrical cabling
- Experience using test equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, or data acquisition systems
- Experience with prototype assembly, soldering, or lab testing
- Participation in engineering projects, robotics teams, Formula SAE, UAV/drone teams, or engineering clubs

During the internship, students may contribute to real engineering projects such as:
- Designing and routing wire harness assemblies for airflow measurement systems
- Supporting development of thermocouple sensing solutions for customer test applications
- Assisting in the design and build of airflow test benches and validation systems
- Creating SolidWorks models and mechanical components used in sensor mounting and test fixtures
- Assisting with product testing, calibration, and performance validation
