Digital Media & Social Content Intern
The Digital Media & Social Content Intern will support our digital presence and social strategy, helping to amplify the company’s catalogue, brand identity and partner relationships across social and digital platforms. This role will work alongside the marketing, distribution and production teams to create, publish and analyse digital content that aligns with the company’s core business of global content distribution and production.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in creating and editing digital content (including short-form videos, graphics, stills, captions) tailored for our social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter/X, YouTube).
- Schedule and publish content across our social channels and digital platforms, ensuring alignment with catalogue launches, market presence (eg. industry events) and company announcements.
- Monitor and respond to engagement on social channels in line with brand voice and community guidelines; track mentions of the company, its content catalogue, and partner/industry activity.
- Conduct research into social media trends, digital content performance, competitor activity within the global content-distribution and production space, and insights relevant to our catalogue (sports, factual-adventure, lifestyle).
- Support the marketing/distribution teams with digital asset management: organising, tagging and archiving assets (photos, video clips, trailers, promotional stills) to support social content and catalogue promotion.
- Assist in tracking digital performance metrics (engagement rates, follower growth, video views, click-throughs), prepare simple reports or dashboards and provide recommendations to optimise content strategy.
- Collaborate with production and distribution colleagues to align digital/social content with upcoming catalogue acquisitions, platform delivery, international sales activity and key industry events (e.g., content markets).
- Occasionally support broader marketing activities: drafting social post copy, assisting with newsletter/social cross-promotion, helping update website or digital listings as needed.
Skills & Competencies
- A solid understanding of social media platforms, digital content formats and best practices for engagement.
- Basic graphic design or video-editing capability (e.g., using Canva, Adobe Premiere Pro/After Effects, mobile editing apps).
- Excellent writing and editing skills, with strong attention to brand tone, grammar and detail.
- Creative mindset with ability to visualise how content from our catalogue (e.g., sport, lifestyle, factual adventure) can engage an audience digitally.
- Organised, proactive and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; comfortable working with cross-functional teams (marketing, production, distribution).
- Interest in media, television, digital streaming, global distribution and the international content business is a plus.
