Start: August 2026 (orientation and professional learning prior to first day of school)

The Opportunity:

CPA is hiring certified high school teachers for the 2026-2027 school year across core content areas. You’ll deliver rigorous, standards-aligned instruction and support students to stay on track for credit attainment, graduation, and postsecondary success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver rigorous, engaging lessons aligned to Michigan Academic Standards and course outcomes.
• Design learning experiences and use assessment data to reteach, extend, and accelerate learning.
• Maintain a structured, inclusive classroom culture with clear expectations and positive behavior supports.
• Provide timely feedback, maintain accurate grades/records, and communicate progress to students and families.
• Collaborate in PLCs/department meetings to strengthen curriculum alignment, common assessments, and interventions.
• Support MTSS interventions and accommodations (IEP/504) and participate in professional learning/coaching and school-wide responsibilities.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree (Education or related field).
• Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate with the appropriate endorsement(s) for the assigned secondary subject area.
• Strong content knowledge and ability to teach to Michigan Academic Standards.
• Ability to build strong relationships with adolescents while maintaining high expectations and structure.
• Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills; willingness to complete background checks/fingerprinting.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience teaching at the secondary level with evidence of student growth.
• Experience using data cycles/common assessments and providing targeted supports/interventions.
• Master’s degree, advanced coursework, or additional endorsements.
