IT Service Coordinator Intern
Position Overview
Nurix Therapeutics is seeking a motivated IT Service Coordinator Intern to support the Information Technology team's 2026 strategic roadmap. Reporting directly to the IT Project Manager lead, the intern will contribute to high-priority initiatives spanning financial governance, IT service management maturity, and cross-functional collaboration. This is a hands-on role offering meaningful exposure to enterprise IT operations within a fast-paced, compliance-driven biotech environment.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Stewardship & Budget Support (Q2–Q3)
• Maintain and update budget tracking spreadsheets established in Q1–Q2, supporting ongoing monthly variance analysis and report preparation for CFO and EMT reviews.
• Assist with continued Run/Grow/Transform budget categorization by validating and refining IT expenditure classifications across operational and strategic spend categories.
• Compile and organize vendor contract data including renewal timelines, spend summaries, and service terms to support active vendor governance practices.
• Support contractor budget tracking by reconciling invoices against approved spend targets on an ongoing basis through Q3.
IT Service Management & Process Maturity (Q2–Q3)
• Research industry-standard IT service definitions and ITSM frameworks (e.g., ITIL) to inform the development of a formal Service Catalog.
• Draft service catalog entries including service descriptions, defined service levels, and ownership assignments in coordination with the IT team.
• Support Change Management Process Enhancement by documenting workflows, building process maps, and compiling change log templates aligned with FDA compliance requirements.
• Track and report on change success rates and service catalog adoption metrics.
Cross-Functional & Stakeholder Support (Q2–Q3)
• Design and administer stakeholder satisfaction surveys to help measure IT partnership effectiveness across the organization.
• Compile and analyze metrics on proactive versus reactive IT consultations, helping demonstrate the shift to a strategic service model.
• Prepare briefing materials, agendas, and follow-up documentation for cross-functional meetings and IT-Quality integration sessions.
• Assist in maintaining project tracking and status reports within the team's Jira project space.
Qualifications
Required
• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Information Technology, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (data organization, pivot tables, basic formulas) and PowerPoint.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail and adherence to deadlines.
Preferred
• Familiarity with IT Service Management (ITSM) concepts or frameworks such as ITIL.
• Experience with project tracking tools such as Jira, Asana, or similar platforms.
• Interest in pharmaceutical or biotech industry IT environments.
• Exposure to budget tracking, financial reporting, or vendor management workflows.
