Testing Graduate Assistant

The Graduate Assistant will support the Testing team at Disability Support Services to ensure timely, accurate, and secure exam administration in accordance with institutional policy, student needs, and ADA/Section 504 requirements. 

Candidate will support the administration and proctoring of exams for students registered with Disability Support Services, ensuring compliance with testing protocols and the accurate, consistent implementation of approved accommodations (e.g., extended time, reduced-distraction environment, use of assistive technology). Will include up to four weekly evening hours (until 7pm) to support accommodated testing. Candidate will also support the supervision of student proctors scheduled for evening work. 

We are looking for a Graduate Assistant pursuing a graduate degree in education, social work or psychology. Please note:  We will review all applications for suitability and fit regardless of academic program.

  • Must be accepted to a full-time (8 credits a semester) OU grad program for fall 2026. Assistantship is for one academic year (September - April) with possibility to extend to a second year. 
  • Standard OU Graduate Assistant package will apply: 
    • Tuition (eight credits per semester or a total of 8 credits) will be compensated. Any additional credits and class fees, including books, will be the responsibility of the student. 
    • Compensation: Student will receive a stipend (via direct deposit if desired) on the last business day of each month for the duration of the assistantship. 

Ideal candidate will have:

  1. Knowledge of ADA and/or work or volunteer experience with students with disabilities. 
  2. The ability to maintain confidentiality.
  3. The ability to professionally communicate with students and faculty. 
  4. Knowledge of assistive technology and ability to learn new computer-based case management systems.
  5. Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
  6. Excellent oral and written communication skills
  7. Knowledge of developing and presenting educational programs.
  8. Ability to work independently.
