Grant Research And Development Intern
The Grant Research & Development Intern will support the Executive Director in building and managing D.O.V.E.S. Network's funding pipeline. This intern conducts prospect research, tracks deadlines, and drafts first-pass grant narratives that are reviewed and finalized by leadership. No grant applications will be submitted without Executive Director review and approval.
Responsibilities
- Research federal, foundation, and corporate grant opportunities aligned with D.O.V.E.S. Network's mission and program areas
- Maintain a grant calendar with deadlines, requirements, and status updates
- Draft narrative sections (need statements, program descriptions, goals/objectives) for review
- Compile supporting data and impact statistics for grant submissions
- Assist with funder correspondence and reporting templates
Minimum Requirements
- Currently enrolled in or recently completed a degree in Nonprofit Management, Public Administration, Social Work, English, Communications, or related field
- Strong research and writing skills
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Familiarity with grant databases (a plus, not required)
Preferred
- Prior grant writing coursework or experience
- Knowledge of domestic violence, youth services, or trauma-informed care landscape
