Sales Intern - Year Round

Position: Intern, Sales – Drivetrain & Morse Systems (Year-Round)

Job Purpose 

The Sales Intern will provide direct support to Sales and Finance professionals. The position will expose the intern to a variety of assignments that will assist the Drivetrain & Morse Systems (DMS) NA Sales team in managing customer accounts and coordinating with internal other BorgWarner functional groups.  

 

Individual and team assignments and responsibilities will be assigned according to the needs of the Sales organization. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

Process customer contract updates through the internal contract approval process 

Coordinate Sales activities for Prototypes, supporting multiple customers (Draft and Issue prototype quotes, process prototype POs, monitor prototype delivery status with NA prototype groups) 

Distribute periodic Commodity Adjustments to production plants for pricing updates 

Utilizes and engages with the DMS NA Sales SharePoint to foster collaboration and actively contribute to Sales process improvements and information/user management 

Coordinate with the Global Marketing Research (GMR) department for industry trend analysis 

Supports Sales forecast and Long-Range Plan in Salesforce 

Collaborate with internal and external customers, operations, program management, global supply chain and business development  

Supports Lifecycle Management process improvement and data management (schedules/follows up on quarterly gate review meetings, adds new programs to the database as needed) 

 

 

What We’re Looking For 

Required 

Enrolled full-time at an accredited college or university 

Business, Marketing, Finance, or Engineering degree 

Minimum GPA: 3.3 

Must report onsite at least three (3) days per week to our Auburn Hills Campus 

Maintain a 20-to-29-hour work week 

Excellent written and verbal communication skills 

Strong organizational and comprehensive skills 

Strong knowledge and application of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) 

 

Preferred 

Working knowledge of AI prompting
