Geographic Information Systems Intern

 

The purpose of the Geographic Information Systems (GIS) internship is to assist the Geographic Information Systems Services Team with the maintenance of the State’s Enterprise GIS Portal, MD iMAP and projects coming from state agency customers. 

Duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Create, inventory and maintain geospatial (GIS) data
  • Update metadata and register datasets with open data portals
  • Assist with updates and publishing of GIS web services
  • Prepare documentation and content for internal and external user communications 

Interns may be assigned to other designated projects and tasks, as needed.

 

**Student must attend a school in Maryland or be a Maryland Resident**
